An apple a day
My daily practice began in January 2019. Habits are made with repetition. I drew apples mornings, first thing in the studio. I watched a tutorial by Will Kemp. Every time. They took less than 30 minutes. No pressure. No expectations. I kept a quote nearby from Paul Cezanne, “With an apple I will astonish Paris.”
After apples came a fascination with catalpa flowers, then hops, begonia, cosmos, and columbine. I fell and lost my funny bone in surgery. There was covid19 and the saving grace of a studio to go to.
